David Tennery

David R. Tennery Managing Director – Southeast Capital Markets & Office Investor Services Current Responsibilities: In his role, David leads the JLL Southeast Capital Markets investment sales platform, and oversees client continuity and strategic value initiatives for investor clients of the Firm. David studied Business Administration with a Major in Finance at Ohio State University and attended Lycee Paul Valeree in Paris, France. He also holds a Master of Corporate Real Estate with honors (MCR.h), through CoreNet International. Mr. Tennery has been in the commercial real estate business since 1982; moving from the finance and accounting field, to a project finance role with Texas developer, Vantage Companies. Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Tennery's prior real estate experience focused on development, asset stabilization, and disposition. Over his 28 year real estate history, Mr. Tennery has served in leadership and production capacities including Principal, Regional Partner, Managing Director of Acquisitions and Dispositions, Chief Development Officer, and Chief Operating Officer. In recent years, Mr. Tennery has been involved in the development, repositioning or disposition of over 11 million square feet of office, retail, industrial, mixed-use, and hotel properties in the U.S. and Latin America. Notable local projects and assignments include the 2.1M SF Concourse mixeduse office park, Glenridge Highlands One and Two (Headquarters for Cingular Wireless, LLC), Hotel Intercontinental Buckhead, 3344 Peachtree / Sovereign mixed-use tower, the sale of the 1.1M SF Lenox Park project to Fortress Investments, and Pershing Park Plaza, all in Atlanta. Other regional or international project assignments include Pasaje Santa Fe, in Mexico City, Mexico, Business and Industrial parks in Houston, Texas, and Landmarks Centre (Now SunTrust Tower), in downtown Tampa, Florida. Mr. Tennery has also led or has been directly involved as a principal in a breadth of real estate asset acquisition and disposition work throughout the southeastern and southwestern U.S. His key career emphases and success has been driving value and strong returns through a highly focused and carefully executed asset disposition strategy. David's attention to subtle details of a project and its respective market strengths have consistently proven to enhance a prospective buyers desire to own an asset. Affiliations: Mr. Tennery's professional affiliations are with CoreNet International and CoreNet Executive Development Program where he has been named 15 times as Top Rated Faculty. He is also an active participant of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is a licensed in the state of Georgia. David and is wife, Sara, have four adult children, ages 24-27. David and Sara work together serving their collective passion to support research for Alzheimer's disease.
