Geoffrey Turnbull, PhD

Geoffrey K. Turnbull currently holds the Jim Heistand-NAIOP Eminent Scholar Chair in Real Estate at the University of Central Florida and is a Fellow of the Weimer School of Advanced Studies in Real Estate and Land Economics. Previous academic positions include Professor of Economics at Georgia State University and the C. J. Brown Distinguished Professor at Louisiana State University. Dr. Turnbull is an internationally recognized scholar focusing on housing and real estate brokerage markets, property rights issues and the effects of state and local government fiscal policies on property markets and regional economic growth. He has published extensively in scholarly journals on these and related topics. Dr. Turnbull also is the editor of the Journal of Housing Research and an associate editor of the Journal of Housing Economics and the Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics.
