James Sacca

On October 21, 2010, James R. Sacca was sworn in as a bankruptcy judge for the Northern District of Georgia. He is a 1983 graduate of the University of Richmond and a 1986 graduate of the Emory University School of Law. Judge Sacca began his legal career at what was then known as Macey Wilensky Cohen Wittner & Kessler, LLP. After becoming a partner there, he left the firm in 2000 to help establish the bankruptcy group at what was then known as Altman, Kritzer & Levick, P.C. in Atlanta. In 2002, Judge Sacca went to Greenberg Traurig, LLP to help establish the bankruptcy and financial institutions practice group in Atlanta. He remained at Greenberg Traurig until he took the bench.
