Richard Caturano

Richard J. Caturano, CPA, CGMA Chairman, AICPA Board of Directors Richard J. Caturano is Chairman of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for 2012-13. Caturano has served the AICPA and the CPA profession in multiple capacities. From 2009-2011, he served as a member of the AICPA's Board of Directors and its governing Council from 2006-2008. Richard chaired the Finance Committee from 2010-2011 and additionally chaired the PCPS Executive Committee, and Practitioners Symposium Conference. He has also served as a member of the Major Firms Group, Special Committee on Mobility and Staffing Task Force. Richard became President of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants from 2005-2006 after serving on the board of directors from 2001-2005. Caturano is the Executive Managing Partner in Boston of McGladrey LLP. He was a founding member of Caturano and Company and the former CEO of Baker Tilly North America. Throughout his career, he has specialized in management consulting and business valuation services for a wide variety of industries. He is a frequent speaker on issues relating to firm management, including strategic planning, rapid growth, internal communications and ensuring the future of the accounting profession. Richard graduated with a B.S. in Accounting and an M.S. in Taxation from Bentley College. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Leading Professional Service Firms executive education program.
