Gary L. Julian

GARY L. JULIAN Executive Director/COO Gary L. Julian is the Executive Director/COO of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). As Executive Director, Gary is the highest staff member of the organization and oversees staff, volunteer leadership, and members. Gary was the executive director of the Arizona Society of CPAs from 1983-1999. He has strong expertise in strategic planning, technology, political action and government relations programs, member services, and communications. He has been active in the legislative arena with the Uniform Accountancy Act (UAA), 150-hour law, liability reform, and securities litigation reform. Gary's experience also includes leadership positions as the area director for the American Diabetes Association and as the executive director for Orange County Industries in Chapel Hill, N.C. He is a graduate of Ball State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology. As Executive Director, Gary directs the staff in executing the activities of the Society to the benefit of the membership. The GSCPA is the premier professional organization for CPAs in the state of Georgia. With over 10,500 members throughout the state, the purpose of the GSCPA is to promote the study of accountancy and applicable laws, provide continuing professional education, maintain high ethical and work standards, and provide information about accounting issues to the membership and the public.
