Anita M. Pittman, CPA

Anita M. Pittman, CPA Director of Tax Services Anita has over twenty years diversified public accounting experience. She has worked with individual and business clients in a wide variety of industries, including real estate, construction, healthcare, retail, television broadcasting, manufacturing, and regulated utilities. Her experience includes executive compensation planning, estate planning, merger and acquisition work, corporate reorganizations, foreign investment in the U.S., and general tax and accounting compliance and planning. Anita earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University where she graduated magna cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She received a Masters in Management degree with concentrations in Accounting and Quantitative Methods from Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management. At Northwestern, she was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Beta Alpha Psi and graduated as a Distinguished Scholar. She began her career with the Chicago office of Arthur Andersen & Co. and later transferred to the Boston and Atlanta offices of the firm. After four years with a local CPA firm in Atlanta, she moved to the West Palm Beach, Florida office of Price Waterhouse where she worked as a Tax Manager for three years before returning to Atlanta. Anita has served as Director of Tax Services for Massey & Pittman, CPA, P.C. since January 1995. Anita's recent community and volunteer activities have focused on education, serving as a member of the Parent Guide and Public Relations Committees of the Parents Association of the Westminster Schools, Co-President of the Garden Hills Elementary PTA as well as Chair of the Business Partners Committee, founder and director of the school's after-school Drama program, and Co-Chair of the school's Evening at the Arts fundraiser. She is a former member of the Board of Directors of Horizon Theatre, the Armory Arts Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, and the Educational Advisory Council of The Alliance Theatre. She was the co-chairperson for the 2002 GSCPA Real Estate Conference and is currently chairman of the Real Estate Section of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants
