James Alexander, CPA, ABV, CFP, CFM First Union Securities/Houston, Texas James (Jim) Alexander is the Vice President of First Union Securities having responsibilities that include investment services and financial consulting. Previously Jim served as an Assistant Vice President in a local branch of a national banking chain where he provided corporate financial planning and investment related services. Jim also is an instructor and guest lecturer at the University of Houston Graduate School of Business and the University of Houston College of Law. He is a discussion leader for the AICPA Academies of Investment Advisory Services and Treasury Management Services. Jim is a Personal Financial Specialist and Accredited in Business Valuation through the AICPA, a Certified Financial Planner with the CFP Board of Standards, Inc., a Certified Managerial Accountant and Certified Financial Manager with the Institute of Management Accountants, and serves as Chairperson/Industry Panelist/Mediator for the NYSE and NASD Board of Arbitration.
