Jim Williams brings to executive coaching and organizational development over 30 years of senior executive business experience working with individuals and companies to optimize individual professional growth and corporate performance. As founder of The Certus Group, he focuses on coaching and mentoring senior executives and business owners. Jim is a seasoned leader and brings his corporate management background to his coaching and organizational assignments to accelerate the development of leadership skills within the organizational system and cultural context of where individuals work. Jim seamlessly links the individual's personal coaching goals with the critical business objectives of the organization. Jim's integrated coaching and consulting service blends the people, processes, technology and organizational infrastructure issues with the client's coaching objectives that address all dimensions of individual and organizational success. His corporate career includes companies as diverse as The Coca-Cola Company and Ernst & Young. His management background includes C-suite responsibility in areas of finance and operations. Additionally, he served approximately 10 years with Law Companies, Inc., an international engineering, design and environmental services firm as Senior Vice President, CFO and board member, including heading the acquisition team of acquiring Sir Alexander Gibb & Company, a 100 year old UK based design & build engineering firm. For six years, he was regional managing partner of a national interim sourcing firm. Jim's industry experience includes consumer goods, technology, professional services, manufacturing, distribution, and working in both public and privately held companies. Jim currently serves on the Career Mentoring Board of International Center for Executive Options. He is a Coach Mentor for Pathbuilders Achieva in Atlanta, which involves one-on-one mentoring of women in corporations who display high-impact executive leadership potential. Jim is one of four founding members of Atlanta CEO Netweavers, a selected group of business leaders participating in a community of sharing and giving relationships guided by a set of principles and values around putting others first. He also serves on the Board of Breakthrough Atlanta, an educational program sponsored by The Lovett School, which provides a pathway to college for traditionally underserved Atlanta public school students and intensive hands-on teacher training experience for high school and college students. Jim is a graduate of the University of Alabama and has an MBA from Georgia State University.
