Roy is a Partner at FORVIS and leads the Forensics and Valuation Services practice. Roy’s background includes more than thirty years of audit, business consulting, fraud and forensic and litigation support experience. Roy assists attorneys with the business, accounting, financial and damage calculation aspects of complex commercial matters including business interruption, lost profits, breach of contract, professional liability and construction litigation. Roy has worked extensively with entities to detect and circumvent occupational fraud. He also assists with various tort matters including the calculation of economic damages for personal injury, wrongful termination and wrongful death. Roy has been designated as an expert witness and qualified to testify by report, affidavit, deposition and/or trial testimony in various venues. He has served as a neutral related to many business and accounting disputes including purchase price adjustments. He has provided testimony for the American Arbitration Association and FINRA Dispute Resolution. Roy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts. He is a past chairman of the board of trustees of Summerville YMCA and Pinewood Preparatory and is a former adjunct instructor at the Citadel. Roy is a graduate of The Citadel, The Military College of SC with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration.
