Chip is a tax partner specializing in Health Sciences. He has over 16 years of experience in both not-for-profit and proprietary health care institutions. Chip is frequently consulted on merger and acquisition and tax exemption issues, restructuring hospital systems, structuring joint ventures, private inurement and intermediate sanction issues, unrelated business income issues, Form 990 reporting and disclosure issues and accounting methods and periods. Chip graduated from the University of Alabama with Bachelor of Science degree and a Master's in taxation. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants and Healthcare Financial Management Association. Chip is also active in the community, including his current role as Treasurer of Project Open Hand.
