Lawrence C. Brandau (Larry) BS – Business Administration/Secondary Education – Western Illinois University – 1974 IRS – Atlanta – Revenue Officer – 1974 – 1986 IRS – Atlanta – Management – 1978 – 1985 IRS – Atlanta – Offer In Compromise Specialist – 1985 – 2008 Self Employed – Tax IQ, LLC – 2008 – Present IRS Experience Employed and trained as a Field Revenue Officer, receiving progressive promotions to senior technical level. Specialized in large debt cases, domestic and international. Entered management ranks and received progressive promotions to assistant to Collection Division Chief. Left the management ranks and rejoined the technical field operations to develop and initiate the Offer in Compromise program for the State of Georgia. Received several recognitions for program development and continued in the Offer in Compromise program as the senior field investigative fficer, developing training materials, manual procedures, teaching and conducting on the job training until retirement. Contributed to the National Offer In Compromise program through focus group participation, investigation analysis and development and various training assignments. Since retirement in June 30, 2008, I have provided representation before the IRS, and over 30 individual states, on Collection and Audit issues, encompassing Collection Notices and enforcement actions, Offers In Compromise, Specific Audit issue representation and tax planning consultation, for clients domestic and international. Married (Candee – a physical therapist), three married children, six grandchildren. Increasingly extensive travel as all three children reside in Chicago, San Diego and San Antonio, as well as leisure travel and adventure. Interests include outdoor activities (camping, hiking, shooting) and I have always enjoyed and pursued American History and Government, with a focus on the Revolutionary War and the industrial Revolution.
