LISA Y. GORDON, CPA Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Ms. Lisa Y. Gordon, CPA, is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. (ABI). She is responsible for overseeing the operations and implementation of the Atlanta BeltLine, one of the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment projects currently underway in the United States. The Atlanta BeltLine is a $2.8 billion project that will shape the way Atlanta grows over the next 25 years and beyond. When complete, it will provide a network of public parks, multi-use trails, transit, public art and thousands of units of affordable housing along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor circling downtown Atlanta, connecting 45 neighborhoods directly to each other. ABI has opened four parks, developed 11.9 miles of hiking and permanent trails and is completing design of the Atlanta BeltLine corridor. Prior to joining ABI, she served as a Cabinet member for the Honorable Mayor Shirley Franklin, former Mayor of Atlanta, Georgia. Ms. Gordon has also served as an Assistant City Manager in Austin, Texas and Assistant to the County Manager in Broward County, FL. Ms. Gordon has an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. She has received a Masters of Public Administration degree from The Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and holds a Master's of Accounting degree from Nova Southeast University and has been a licensed Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) in the state of Florida since 1999. Ms. Gordon has received numerous awards and recognition for her work. A few of the most notable include: receiving a proclamation from the State of Texas Legislature for outstanding achievement in public service, a 2006 Profile of Prominence Award for Excellence from the Atlanta Chapter of National Women of Excellence, and being named by The Atlanta Tribune magazine as one of Atlanta's 2012 Superwomen. In 2013, she received Commercial Real Estate Women's Economic Impact Award and in 2014 Women of the Year in Transportation from Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS). She serves on the Board of Trustees for Leadership Atlanta and was the Program Chair for the Class of 2013. She is a graduate of ARC's 2011 Regional Leadership Institute and a member of the National Forum of Black Public Administrators, ULI (Urban Land Institute), CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) and Women's Transportation Seminar.
