Dennis Pastor
Dennis Pastor is the Executive Director of Performance Excellence for WellStar Health System. Dennis has over 19 years of extensive Global Lean implementation experience with both transactional and manufacturing processes across 15 functional areas. He has worked for Toyota, General Motors, Hyundai, and General Electric Healthcare, driving Lean from product/service development to assembly and supplier management and has helped oversee process improvements in over 30 countries. In his two years with WellStar, Dennis has taught Lean to every level of the organization and has applied Lean extensively across all five hospitals, our Medical Group practices and support departments. He has implemented sustained improvements throughout our Emergency Departments, Operating Rooms, Inpatient Nursing units, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Medical Imaging and Quality and Patient Safety initiatives. Dennis has also taught Lean at the Medical College of Wisconsin and to Healthcare Executives from Canada and Germany. Functional Areas of Applied Lean: Engineering, Finance, Human Resources, IT Asset Management, Legal, Manufacturing, Marketing, Product Development, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Software Engineering, Staffing, Supplier Development, and Healthcare. Dennis earned an Executive MBA at Baker College in Michigan. He is accredited by the American Society for Quality as a Certified Quality Engineer; holds Lean Healthcare Certification from the University of Michigan and has completed the Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Program from the University of Notre Dame.
