Andrea R. Comeau-Shirley, CPA

Andrea has twenty-one years of significant and often unique tax and business experience working with high-net worth individuals, venture capital funds, family offices, public and private companies, tax-exempt enterprises, and foreign investors. This experience provides a strong appreciation for proactive and practical tax planning as well as good communication. At Arthur Andersen she was also a member of the firm wide IRS Practice/Procedures and Partnership teams and of the Atlanta Office International Tax, Enterprise Group and Real Estate Practices and headed the Southeastern Quality Assurance and Risk Management initiative for more than 5 years. In addition to her client and private industry experience, Andrea has taught numerous corporate and partnership tax and international training sessions and has co-authored articles dealing with international tax issues. Recent courses include "The New Preparer Penalties and What it Means to You - Tax Ethics," "Handling Tax Controversies," "The Stealth Tax - AMT" and "Reconciling Federal and Georgia Tax Rules - 2006 Tax Update." Andrea received her undergraduate and Master of Accountancy degrees from the University of Georgia in 1987, graduating Magna Cum Laude with High Honors. She is a member of the AICPA and the Georgia Society of CPAs.
