Dan Erling

Dan Erling has been a trusted hiring advisor to more than a thousand companies since starting as an Executive Recruiter in 1998. Over his 12 years of serving clients, Dan was named one of the 40 rising business executives under the age of 40 by the Atlanta Business Chronicle which also named Accountants One as one of Atlanta's Best Places to Work. He is a lifetime member of the Georgia Association of Personnel Services (GAPS) Million Dollar Hall of Fame, an industry expert and requested speaker in the areas of hiring and interviewing. Under Dan's leadership, Accountants One has grown into one of the largest non-franchised accounting and financial placement firms in Atlanta. Dan credits this success to hiring the right people and working together as a team to accomplish shared goals. Dan is most proud of Accountants One's success rate which has remained above 95% since the firm began monitoring and publicly posting the metric. Dan is the creator of the Search for the South's Funniest Accountant. This combination fund raiser / stereotype debunker has become an annual favorite in the accounting community - proving year-after-year that Accountants are so much more than humorless number crunchers. In 2009, over 600 people attended the event, raising $15,000 for Junior Achievement of Georgia. This year's event will take place on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at Center Stage Theatre. Dan earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Georgia State University and his Masters from Emory University. Before joining Accountants One, Dan was an inner-city math teacher for 8 years. In 1996, he was named the Academic Achievement Incentive Teacher of the Year for Middle Schools.
