Ruth May
Ruth C. May, Ph.D. University of Dallas/Irving, Texas Ruth May is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the MBA program at the University of Dallas. Her academic experience includes overseas work at the London School of Economics and specialized training in Joint Venture Management in the Newly Independent States (NIS) at the Leningrad Educations Center, St. Petersburg, Russia. Before entering academia, Dr. May had a successful career in the investment securities industry as a Certified Financial Planner. She served as Vice-President of an investment securities firm in Jackson, Mississippi and also served as the Security Industry Association's Economic Education Liaison for the State of Mississippi. During that period, she co-founded the Stock Market Game of Mississippi in which over 3,000 students participate annually. In addition to her current teaching responsibilities, Dr. May is involved in the design and implementation of training programs for Russian executives. These programs focus on free-market approaches to Marketing, Strategic Planning, and Human Resource Management. She has presented papers on Soviet/Russian management at regional, national, and global management conferences, and has published articles in numerous professional journals.
