Mary Ann Busse, Esq.
Mary Anne Busse is a nationally recognized expert in disclosure and governance, having served for several years in various capacities with the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., her last assignment as Senior Counsel in the Division of Corporation Finance. Ms. Busse currently serves as Managing Director of Great Disclosure LLC, a consulting firm providing guidance on securities disclosure, governance, 529 program administration, communications and investor relations. She consistently receives excellent ratings from clients for her knowledge of issues and developments across disciplines and the practical insight she provides from her extensive experience in dealing with SEC and program administration matters. Ms. Busse began her career serving in the Division of Corporation Finance at the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. Before forming Great Disclosure in 2006, she practiced in New York and Baltimore, undertaking a variety of complex public and private securities offerings and major mergers and acquisitions for multi-national and Fortune 500 companies. She is a nationally recognized instructor and panelist on 529 plans, securities, disclosure, investor relations, communications and governance, receiving high marks for her ability to effectively deliver complex concepts in a clear, concise and understandable manner. Ms. Busse received her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Detroit and received her J.D. from The George Washington University. She is Co-Chair of the College Savings Plans Network Legal and Regulatory Affairs Committee and Chair of its Communications Committee Blog Subcommittee.
