Steven Krug
Steve Krug is a Principal with Grant Thornton LLP and serves as Regional Director of Valuation Services for the Atlanta Region. He supervises business valuation engagements for a variety of tax, assurance, litigation support, and financing needs. He has 23 years of experience as a professional business appraiser. His prior work includes the valuation of businesses for fairness opinions, stock option plans, purchase price allocations, estate and gift tax issues, divorce proceedings, dissenting shareholder suits, intangible asset appraisals, and ESOPs. He has experience providing transaction advisory services to middle market companies including representing corporations or shareholders for purposes of merger, acquisition, divestiture and capital investment. Prior to joining Grant Thornton LLP, he was a vice president at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, a nationwide investment banking firm specializing in the middle market. He also served as an associate with the valuation firm of Willamette Management Associates and has experience as a senior manager at two integrated health care corporations. He received his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1991 and is a member of the CFA Institute and the Atlanta Society of Financial Analysts. He is an Accredited Valuation Analyst (AVA) and member of the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA). Mr. Krug is also a candidate member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia with a dual concentration in Finance and Marketing.
