Michael Cauley, CPA, CVA, CFP

Mike Cauley is a Certified Public Accountant and a senior partner of Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC. A native of Dublin and a 1968 graduate of Dublin High School, he attended the University of Georgia obtaining a BBA degree with a major in accounting in 1972. Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the United States Air Force. After completing his military service, he began his accounting career with Price Waterhouse and Company in Atlanta. Mike returned to Dublin in 1977, where he is now a tax partner with Nichols, Cauley & Associates, LLC. Mike is also a Certified Valuation Analyst, a Certified Financial Planner® and a Registered Investment Advisor Representative. Mike currently serves as President Elect of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants (GSCPA). He has served on the Board of Directors since 1998 and was named the recipient of the 2001-2002 Georgia Society of CPA's Distinguished Member Award which recognizes the activities of one member of the GSCPA who represents the organization with the highest degree of professionalism. He also currently serves as the President of the Educational Foundation of the Georgia Society of CPA's. Mike is a past chairman and current member of the Dublin-Laurens County Development Authority, and currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Laurens-Treutlen Joint Development Authority. Mike has also served as president of the Dublin-Laurens County Chamber of Commerce, the Dublin Rotary Club and the Heart of Georgia Chapter of CPAs. He is a 1994 participant in Leadership Georgia and served as a program chair for the 1996 class. He has also served on the Boards of United Way, Easter Seals, and the Heart of Georgia Technical College Foundation. Mike and his wife Debbie have two children: Chris, who received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in accounting at the University of Georgia (2003), and Catherine who is a sophomore at UGA. They attend First United Methodist Church.
