AICPA Launches Facilitated state board access program

Georgia is participating in the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA) Peer Review Facilitated State Board Access (FSBA). Georgia is helping to ensure a smooth transition to national implementation during 2009. For more information, please refer to the Member Q&A

Revised Peer Review Standards & Guidance
(Effective for Peer Reviews Commencing on or after January 1, 2009)

The revised Peer Review Standards and Interpretations, effective January 1, 2009, have recently been updated by the Peer Review Board.

The AICPA has just released a Peer Review Practitioner’s Tool Kit as part of the initiatives the AICPA is undertaking to enhance the Peer Review Program.  This Tool Kit provides samples and guidelines that both new and experienced peer reviewers can use to help them in promoting their peer review services and develop their practice.  

Peer Review Update - Changes on the Horizon

About a quarter of a century ago, the CPA profession responded to concerns of the American public about the quality of audits. A voluntary program of submitting audits, reviews, and compilation practices to a review by other CPAs, and making the results of these peer reviews available to the public, was instituted.
