Awards

The Georgia Society of CPAs recognizes the hard work and dedication of its members each year through awards. From education to industry, our members are what make the Society great. To nominate an individual for one of the awards listed below, please complete the nomination form for that award.

Meritorious Service Award
The Meritorious Service Award is the highest award bestowed by the Georgia Society of CPAs, and is presented in recognition of outstanding service to the profession.

Accounting Educator of the Year Award
Each year the "Accounting Educator of the Year Award" is presented to an outstanding educator in the field of accounting. The presentation is made at a ceremony each spring coinciding with the meetings of the Board of Directors of the Society and of the Educational Foundation. Outstanding Member in Industry
Each year, the CPAs in Industry Section seeks nominations for the GSCPA Outstanding Member in Industry Award, which is presented at the Spring Decision Makers Conference. The purpose of the award is to recognize members in industry who have made significant contributions, professional and civic, that reflect the values and ideals to which CPAs in industry should aspire.

Public Service Award
The annual Public Service Award recognizes a member who has been active in community service and who has made a difference in his or her community. Service is in the area of charities, non-profits, community organizations, etc., excluding professional accounting groups (i.e. GSCPA, AICPA).
