Committees and Task Forces
The Georgia Society of CPAs is a member driven and member service organization. You can help guide your organization through committee and task force leadership teams that advise the Board of Directors, expand your own professional knowledge, and are of service to the profession.
Together Everyone Accomplishes More.
Much of the work done by the Georgia Society of CPAs is accomplished by volunteers on committees, sections, and task forces. These "work teams" provide a great opportunity to network with other members, expand your knowledge base, and be of service to the profession. Over 500 members currently serve in some capacity on the GSCPA Team.
Committees and Task Forces
Committees and task forces operate with specific objectives for programs and special activities during the year.
- Operational Committees are responsible for the on-going operations of the Society, including Audit, Bylaws, Peer Review, Peer Review Executive and Professional Ethics committees. Members of these committees are appointed by the President-Elect of the Society along with input from the current chair and vice chair of the committee.
- Task Forces plan one or two specific events within the course of a year, and only meet when and if needed.
