The Value of a CPA

Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) are individuals who are licensed and regulated by a state board of accountancy to provide the utmost standards in services by advising individuals and businesses on a wide array of financial and business matters.

CPAs must have a college education with many of them having graduate degrees, pass a rigorous exam and fulfill a 1 year work requirement in order to become licensed. Once licensed, they must adhere to professional codes of conduct, abide by rules and regulations and continue their education by taking a certain number of hours of courses every year.
