Gary Julian, Executive Director

Gary manages all staff in executing the activities, policies and strategic initiatives of the Society to the benefit of the membership. Gary also manages the legislative efforts of the GSCPA and interacts nationally on behalf of the Society.

Donna Heavener, Associate Executive Director

Donna is responsible for management of all member service activities, events and programs, including sections, conferences and convention and student programs. She also manages the Society’s technology needs and public relations activities. Donna coordinates and assists with the Society’s board and council meetings and programs and assists with the Educational Foundation.

Deborah Reeder, Senior Director of Professional Services

Deborah focuses on strategic planning and oversight for CPE, finance, peer review and ethics. She is responsible for enhancing current lines of business in CPE while developing new continuing education opportunities. She also guides the directors of finance and peer review to provide critical information and services to the Board of Directors and Peer Review Committee.

Jan Roberds, Receptionist

Jan handles all of the responsibilities involved with front desk duties and posts CPE for all classes, conferences, chapters and sections. She also provides assistance for the CPE, member services and accounting departments.

ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT

Bridgette supervises the accounting staff, assists with department operations and completes monthly financial closing tasks.

Sandra Owens, Accounting Coordinator

Sandra is responsible for all cash receipts received daily by the Society and ensures correct posting of receipts. She is also responsible for timely processing of invoices due by the Society.

CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT


Paige Brooks, Director of Education & Training

Paige is responsible for the overall management of the CPE department staff and daily administration of all CPE activities. She develops, implements and monitors the Society's annual educational program offerings and the preparation and execution of the annual course schedule including budget preparation and financial monitoring of CPE programs.

Terry Gainer, Seminar Manager

Terry is responsible for seminar administration, which includes the monitoring of registration counts, course material status and facility availability. He manages the GSCPA Training Center and serves as the primary contact for discussion leaders to confirm travel logistics as well as seminar status updates. He also helps identify new seminar initiatives and facilities.

Veronica Scott, Seminar Coordinator

Veronica coordinates the logistics for all seminars held outside of the GSCPA Training Center and works closely with planning committees in facilitating conferences. She also manages the online evaluation process, analyzes and disseminates the collected data.

Brian Abram, Operations Coordinator

Brian coordinates all outgoing mailing for the GSCPA, as well as the printing and shipping of all GSCPA course manuals. He also oversees and assists sponsors and exhibitors at GSCPA conferences throughout the year.

MEMBER SERVICES DEPARTMENT


Don Cook, Director of Membership Development

Don develops and implements membership recruitment and retention programs. He also plans and manages the Leadership Academy, Leadership Academy Alumni and the Educational Foundation.

Nikelle Hamada, Member Services Manager

Nikelle manages student membership programs and events for college students as well as coordinates activities focused on outreach to high school students and educators. She is the staff liaison to the Accounting Career Awareness Committee, High School Outreach Task Force, College Outreach Task Force, High School Residency Program Task Force and the Minority Issues Task Force.

Jennifer Poff, Member Services Coordinator

Jennifer is responsible for maintaining membership records and processing new memberships. She coordinates membership recruitment efforts, is the chapter staff liaison, assists with updating the chapter web sites and sends out chapter newsletters. She is also responsible for coordinating outside groups who rent the training center for classroom space.

Shannon Cannon, Sections Coordinator

Shannon researches relevant articles to place in each of the 10 section monthly or bi-monthly newsletters, creates and distributes marketing emails for section events and is the staff liaison for the CPAs in Industry, Valuation & Litigation Services and Young CPAs Sections. She also develops surveys and programs and to assess and meet the needs of the section membership.

Lynne Carr, Conference Manager

Lynne works with the task forces in charge of planning and implementing the following GSCPA conferences: Spring Decision Makers, Work Life Balance, Georgia Federal Tax Conference, Technology Conference, Southeastern Accounting Show, Fraud, Fall Decision Makers and the Georgia Tax Forums.

Kendra Nolley, Conference Planner

Kendra is responsible for planning and coordinating all conference logistics and serving as the conference task force liaison for the following GSCPA conferences: Healthcare, Spring Government Workshop, Real Estate, Estate Planning, Southeastern Accounting Show, Financial Institutions, Accounting Institute, Management of an Accounting Practice and Government A&A. 

COMMUNICATIONS DEPARTMENT 


Jamie Etzbach, Senior Manager of Publications

Jamie manages and produces publications and marketing materials for the various GSCPA departments. She writes, edits and designs the member newsletter, Current Accounts, as well as the electronic newsletter, E-Sources. Jamie also manages and updates information on the GSCPA web site and oversees placement of outside advertising for the Society. 

Elizabeth Kistler, Public Relations Manager

Elizabeth manages the exhibitors and sponsors for all conferences, the Ambassador Training Program and the Feed the Pig Campaign. She is the staff liaison to the Financial Literacy Committee. She also writes the GSCPA award scrolls, is a web site editor, oversees press releases and member services projects as needed and is the assistant editor of Current Accounts

Calvin Wong, Communications/Web Site Specialist

Calvin is the web site administrator, SQL server administrator and IT specialist for the GSCPA offices. He oversees web site design and the design and printing of brochures and member services materials. In addition, he is responsible for the Society's media relations. 

PEER REVIEW DEPARTMENT 


Honorene Hazeur, Peer Review Director

Honorene is responsible for administering the AICPA Peer Review Program for 1200 Georgia CPA firms. She also manages the peer review coordinator, three technical reviewers and the Peer Review Committee. 

Sean Mincey, Peer Review Coordinator

Sean assists the peer review director in carrying out the requirements of the peer review program. He also coordinates and schedules peer reviews for all enrolled AICPA and GSCPA member and nonmember firms.
