PURPOSE

The GSCPA College2Career Conference provides both member and nonmember employers of accounting and finance graduates an opportunity to interact with students from all over Georgia and Alabama.  This conference gives employers the opportunity to meet students from multiple colleges and universities in one setting, saving time and money traveling to many different places. The conference creates an environment where employers have the opportunity to meet with students they may not have had the opportunity to meet on campus of colleges.  

TARGET STUDENT AUDIENCE:

The GSCPA has over 700 student members, who are receiving personalized information on this conference and who will receive discount admission.  The GSCPA is also leveraging its connections with accounting programs and career services offices throughout Georgia to attract accounting and finance students from throughout the state.  Additionally, the GSCPA has partnered with the Alabama Society of CPAs to invite their student members as well. 
 
The students targeted for this conference come from a wide range of colleges and universities, large, small, public and private. Not all schools have career fairs dedicated to the accounting and finance field.  The GSCPA is offering an additional opportunity for students at colleges with and without career fairs an opportunity to network with potential employers.

9 - 10 a.m.	Tips and Tricks for Taking the CPA Exam
10 - 11:15 a.m.	Networking in the Employer Hall
11:15 a.m. - 12 p.m.	So Many Choices… Which Way Do I Go?
